Hot Rods swept at Lake County
The Bowling Green Hot Rods’ doubleheader woes continued Saturday, with Lake County sweeping a pair in Eastlake, Ohio.
Lake County took game one 3-2, before cruising to an 11-4 victory in game two.
It was the third time in a row that Bowling Green (34-43 overall, 3-7 second half) has been swept in a doubleheader. The Hot Rods have lost seven straight doubleheader games.
Jose Medina’s homer in the fifth was the difference in game one.
Jesus Sanchez had two hits in game one for the Hot Rods.
Lake County pounded out 10 hits in game two, overshadowing a three-run homer from BG’s Danny De La Calle.
The series will continue at 3 p.m. on Sunday.{&end}
