BG holds on to top spots in Daily News Top 10

Bowling Green boys and girls remain at the top of the latest Daily News Area Top 10 polls – although neither are unanimous choices.

In the boys’ poll, the Purples edged Warren Central by four points. Bowling Green received seven first-place votes, with the Dragons getting three first-place votes. The two teams meet Friday.

Allen County-Scottsville, which beat Warren Central on Monday, moves up to third with Logan County fourth and Clinton County fifth.

Glasgow, Monroe County, Greenwood, Franklin-Simpson and Barren County round out the boys’ poll.

Bowling Green received eight first-place votes to place 13 points ahead of second-place Glasgow in the girls’ poll.

Barren County received one first-place vote and is third, with Allen County-Scottsville, which garnered the other first-place vote, fourth and Metcalfe County fifth.

South Warren, Russell County, Logan County, Edmonson County and Russellville rounds out the girls’ poll.

Voting was conducted before Monday’s game.
