Western Kentucky went back to Georgia to pick up another Class of 2018 commit.

Running back Gino Appleberry (Creekside High School, Fairburn, Ga.) tweeted Friday afternoon that he’d committed to the Hilltoppers.

Appleberry is WKU’s 19th Class of 2018 commit and eighth from the state of Georgia, joining Spencer Gaddis, Tre Leslie, Jayden Patterson, Deporess Schletty, Nazir Sy, Lichon Terrell and Kawan Williams.

Appleberry is the first Class of 2018 running back to announce a pledge to the Toppers. He was recruited by WKU defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey.

Appleberry is rated by 247 Sports Composite as a three-star prospect ranked No. 1,779 overall in the class, No. 111 among running backs in the class and No. 167 among Georgians in the class.

Appleberry also has listed offers from Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Fresno State, Georgia State, Michigan State, Oregon State, Rutgers, South Alabama, Troy, UAB and FCS programs Austin Peay, Chattanooga, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville State and Mercer.
