Davis Fant’s two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning was the difference as the Bowling Green East 11- and 12-year-old All-Stars improved to 2-0 in pool play Sunday with a 4-2 win over Nelson County in the Little League state tournament in London.

Patrick Forbes finished 3-for-3 with an RBI. Dawson Hall had a hit and an RBI.

Four pitchers combined to hold Nelson County to three hits, striking out 10. Caden Whittle pitched three innings, while Fant finished it off with three strikeouts in the bottom of the sixth.

Bowling Green East will play Glasgow at 4 p.m. CDT Monday.

Warren County South 22, Fleming County 0

South scored 14 runs in the third to cruise past Fleming County and improve to 2-0 in pool play with a 22-0 win Sunday in Corbin.

Bryce Button had four hits and an RBI, while Conner Cobb had three hits and two RBIs. Zack Davis finished with two hits and four RBIs, with Andrew Milam adding a homer and three RBIs.

Warren County will wrap up pool play against Campbellsville at 6 p.m. CDT Monday.{&end}
