In Pictures: Concerts in the Parks – 7/13/2012
The second week of the summer-long series of Friday night free concerts known as Concerts In the Parks went on despite some raindrops earlier in the day. First up were Jenny Lu & Klassic Krew in Fountain Square Park. Playing hits from all decades and many varied styles, they are always crowd pleasers in downtown Bowling Green, and that held true once again. Just ask the people dancing to their music. Then, a few blocks over in Circus Square Park, were Blue Light Special, also playing a nice variety of popular tunes. A decent crowd came out for both shows considering the heat and humidity. Even when it’s hot, the tunes are always cool.
Come on out and see all these free shows. They run every Friday during August. The Fountain Square shows start at 6:30 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. and the Circus Square shows run from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. And there are always food vendors at both parks and inflatables for the kids, so bring the whole family.
