SKyPAC Hosts Second Annual Free Community Day

The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center will host its Second Annual Free Community Day on Saturday, March 9 from noon to 4:00 p.m. It will be a day of continuous entertainment throughout SKyPAC with performances and art activities in the Main Hall, Studio Theater, Rehearsal Halls and the Capitol Arts Center.

The performances will feature regional entertainers with live music, various choral and vocal artists, dance, and visual art activities. There will also be drawings throughout the day for free tickets to select SKyPAC and Orchestra Kentucky performances and a scavenger hunt for the young and the young at heart.

“SKyPAC is excited to offer another Free Community Day and looks forward to this event becoming an annual tradition,” said Tom Tomlinson, SKyPAC’s Executive Director. “We invite everyone, especially those who have not already attended a SKyPAC performance, to come and enjoy many talented regional performers, visit our galleries, and participate in our art activities.”

VSA will host The Fun Factory Art Studio in the lobby of the Capitol Arts from 12 – 4pm as part of SKyPAC Community Day. Offering fun arts and crafts actvities for the whole family, The Fun Factory Arts Studio is a VSA Kentucky Arts for All workshop. Activities are free of charge and open to the public.
