Commonwealth Health Corp. new tenant at Stadium Park Plaza
The newest tenant at Stadium Park Plaza will be Commonwealth Health Corp., which will use about 10,500 square feet of the space to house about 75 employees.
The space is on the fourth floor of the building facing Seventh Avenue, which formerly housed technology firm Connected Nation.
CHC spokeswoman Glynda Chu said the company would release information about the deal and how the office space will be used once it occupies the building.
Bowling Green-based CHC, the parent company of The Medical Center at Bowling Green, also operates medical centers in Albany, Caverna, Franklin and Scottsville and Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. It employs more than 3,500 health care workers with a medical staff that includes more than 350 physicians, according to the CHC website.
Stadium Park Plaza developer Jerry Katzoff said he expects CHC to move into the space around July 1.
“They are a great tenant to have in the building,” Katzoff said.
The lease was signed Monday, he said.
Katzoff, who assumed the role as developer of the building that wraps around the downtown parking garage Feb. 1, said another letter of intent to lease 4,500 square feet of space is also out for final approvals.
Since becoming the developer of the project, Katzoff has also lured law firm Morgan & Morgan and a Starbucks/WKU store to the building.
“Those are three big things in three months,” he said.
The Starbucks opened May 29 and is in about half of a 4,500-square-foot space that will also house a Topper Corner store that will sell WKU merchandise, as well as items made by WKU students. A manager for that space is still being sought, said Gary Meszaros, assistant vice president for auxiliary services at WKU. Once the manager is hired, Topper Corner should open soon after.
Katzoff said Monday he is still working on plans and tenants for the remainder of the space, including the fourth-floor, fully furnished space once occupied by technology firm Hitcents.
