Hot Rods roll past Dayton 11-2
Brendan McKay had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Bowling Green Hot Rods to an 11-2 win at Dayton (Ohio) on Saturday.
Bowling Green improved to 3-0 on the season, the first 3-0 start in franchise history.
Carl Chester and Zach Rutherford added two hits and an RBI apiece for the Hot Rods, while Vidal Brujan drove in a run and scored twice.
Bowling Green right-hander Tobias Myers earned the win, allowing two runs and five hits over five innings.
The Hot Rods will look to make it four straight over the Dragons when the series concludes at 1 p.m. CDT on Sunday.
Right-hander Alex Valverde is scheduled to start for the Hot Rods, with right-hander Wendolyn Bautista the scheduled starter for Dayton.{&end}
