Bowling Green Human Rights Commission sponsors Fair Housing event – “Get on the Bus”
The Bowling Green Human Rights Commission is celebrating 46 years of service to the community! Their primary objective is to advocate for fair treatment and equal opportunity for all citizens of Bowling Green. April is designated as Fair Housing Month and the Commission will sponsor a Fair Housing event “GET ON THE BUS” a bus tour of historical sites in Bowling Green that are significant to the past, present and future of fair housing in our community; on Thursday, April 26th from 1:00PM -4:00PM.
Long time residents of Bowling Green will provide valuable historic information at each stop on the bus tour. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes and a reception at the BGHRC office will immediately follow. Information on housing discrimination, fair housing laws, and other housing related issues will be available to all attendees. Commission staff will be on hand to speak with individuals who have questions about filing a discrimination complaint. Refreshments will be provided; the public is welcome to attend.
