Furlong-Del Pozo
The wedding Mass of Miss Jennifer Elizabeth Furlong and Mr. Andrey David Del Pozo was performed by Monsignor Antonio Arregui Yarza on Jan. 8, 2010, at Iglesia de La Merced in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James G. Hines and daughter of Donna Hines Furlong of Bowling Green and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luis Fernando Del Pozo Baresueta of Kharkiv, Ukraine, and Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The bride was escorted by Mr. Robert Griffin. She wore an ivory Vera Wang gown that featured a draped duchess satin bodice with a skirt of English netting and carried a bouquet of ivory roses accented with white aster, the traditional wedding flower of Ecuador, and Swarovski crystals.
Bethaney Adams was the maid of honor. Carissa Creek, Danielle Cataxinos, Alexandra Schultz and Shauna Landsberg were bridesmaids. Caroline White was the honor attendant and reader. Pablo Del Pozo, brother of the groom, was the best man. Jason Schultz, Javier Parodi, Rommel Ruiz Roman, Alfonso Aranda and Galo Estrella were groomsmen, and Nate White was the usher.
The flower girl was Paula Parodi and the ring bearer was Roberto Juarez Parodi.
Following the wedding, the happy couple and guests were feted to dinner and dancing at the Hilton Colon Guayaquil.
The bride is a graduate of Greenwood High School, Centre College and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is employed as a teaching assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign while she completes her doctorate in art history. The bridegroom is a graduate of The Liceo Naval, ESPOL University and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a researcher at the Beckman Institute.
After a wedding trip to Argentina, Chile and Brazil, the couple will live in Urbana, Ill.
