County school board approves school calendar
Responding to feedback from parents, Warren County Public Schools’ board of education on Monday approved the 2019-20 school calendar.
Morgan Watson, the district’s chief communications officer, said the calendar was developed with the help of an online survey that received roughly 4,000 responses.
In 2019-20, fall break will be Oct. 7-11 and spring break will be April 6-10.
“The 2019 school calendar closely aligns with feedback received from the community survey,” Watson said, noting that parents could vote on different options.
Students will start school Aug. 7 and finish the school year May 18, barring any missed days from snow. If there are any school closures because of snow, President’s Day and two professional development days in March have been set aside as makeup days.
