Louisville-based Blue Equity purchased Kentucky’s 15 Liquor Barn locations, including the one in Bowling Green, from Canadian company Liquor Stores N.A. Ltd.

Blue Equity paid $26.15 million for the 15 stores. The company, which also owns Party Mart, has six Liquor Barn locations in Louisville and six in Lexington. Bowling Green, Danville and Elizabethtown have one store each.

“The acquisition of the Liquor Barn assets is the perfect next step in our quest to become the leading retailer for spirits, beer, wine and other products to our loyal and growing customer base in Kentucky and beyond,” said Jonathan Blue, chairman and managing director of Blue Equity.
