Bill Pope: Men in Black III

 “Men In Black 3,” whose anticipated DVD release comes in August or September, is the latest movie featuring cinematography by Bowling Green native Bill Pope. Since Pope’s first feature film, “Pet Sematary,” he has become associated with director Sam Raimi, serving as director of photography for Raimi’s “Darkman” and “Army of Darkness,” as well as “Spider-Man 2” and 3. He also served as director of photography for all three “Matrix” films, 2010’s “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and a number of music videos for artists such as Metallica, Chris Isaak and Peter Gabriel. Pope attended College High School along with other local film luminaries such as John Carpenter and Tommy Lee Wallace.

“MIB3” stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Jemaine Clement and Emma Thompson and was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld with Steven Spielberg as executive producer.
