Mayor and Judge Executive Proclaim Earth Month in Bowling Green and Warren County
Mayor Elaine Walker and Judge Executive Mike Buchanon have proclaimed March 20 – April 22, 2009 Earth Month in Bowling Green and Warren County. They are asking residents of the county and city to display green ribbons in their front yards to show their care for the earth and “in recognition of earth’s wonder and beauty.” They also encourage citizens to participate in the many events related to earth month planned in the community. BGGreen created a list of those activities. (List attached.) “We were surprised at how many activities there are available in the community to celebrate earth month,” said Lisa Cummings of BGGreen. “We’ve probably even overlooked some. If so, we apologize and hope to get your organization’s activities listed next year, because we want to make this an annual earth month celebration.”
