Local artist finds new creative outlet as actor in winning film

Congratulations to local artist and patron of the arts Andee Rudloff who was featured along with her nephew Noah in the short film Camp Safe Haven embedded below.  Camp Safe Haven was First Runner-up in the Nashville 48 Hour Film Project.

According to Rudloff, “Director Allie Sultan had a concept for Nashville’s 48 hour film festival using the story on CNN about kids being dropped off at “safe places.”  She asked me if I knew a young actor around 12-14, and yes…Noah Rudloff is my nephew and a darn good actor.  Noah was up for it, so I let Allie know…and she said ‘bring him down July 31st for filming’. It was not until the night before when Allie had to draw genre, prop, line and additional roles that I became part of the film.  I have had “0” acting experience…so Noah had to carry the film…and Allie is a great editor, so I felt that I was in good hands.”

The 48 Hour Film Project is an event where a team writes, shoots, edits and scores a movie in just 48 hours. Contestants are provided with a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all of which must be included in their movie.  More about the 48 hour film fest can be found at www.48hourfilm.com/nashville

By day Rudloff is the Community Relations Manager of the Frist Center in Nashville.
