Lady Tops post solid second day in APSU Fall Tournament

- Western Kentucky senior Sofia Blanco won in both singles and doubles for the Lady Toppers during the APSU Fall Tournament on Saturday at the Warren County Tennis Facility at Michael O. Buchanon Park.
Western Kentucky’s women’s tennis team had a strong showing during the second day of the APSU Fall Tournament on Saturday at the Warren County Tennis Facility at Michael O. Buchanon Park.
The Lady Toppers picked up nine victories on the day while playing matches against Alabama A&M and event host Austin Peay.
“We improved in our singles play today, winning seven of eight,” WKU coach Greg Davis said in a news release. “I know Murray State will be a very difficult opponent tomorrow morning in Clarksville.”
The Lady Toppers will finish the APSU Fall Tournament on Sunday at the Governors Tennis Courts in Clarksville, Tennessee.
