Lady Toppers add South Plains College guard

The Western Kentucky women’s basketball team announced another addition to the 2024-25 roster with Yendri Acosta joining the Lady Toppers after a stint at South Plains College in South Plains, Texas.
The signing was announced via social media and is the seventh addition to the roster since the season ended in March.
The Dominican Republic native appeared in 30 games with South Plains, averaging 7.5 points and 2.8 rebounds. Acosta was 27-for-79 from 3-point range and 70.5% from the free-throw line.
WKU previously added Tia Shelling, a 5-foot-10 wing previously at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas, Zsofia Telegdy, a 6-foot-4 forward previously at the University of Kansas, 6-foot-3 forward Jackson State transfer Mya Pratcher, 6-foot-3 forward Tatum Boettjer from Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas, 6-3 forward Mariama Sow from UTEP, and 6-0 forward Salma Khedr from Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
