Lady Toppers add Odessa College wing

The Western Kentucky women’s basketball team on Wednesday announced via social media the signing of wing Tia Shelling, the sixth addition to the WKU roster since the season ended in March.

The 5-foot-10 New Orleans native averaged 10 points and 3.2 rebounds in 34 games with Odessa College in Odessa, Texas, last season.

WKU previously added Zsofia Telegdy, a 6-foot-4 forward previously at the University of Kansas, 6-foot-3 forward Jackson State transfer Mya Pratcher, 6-foot-3 forward Tatum Boettjer from Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas, 6-3 forward Mariama Sow from UTEP and 6-0 forward Salma Khedr from Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.

Three players from last year’s team – Aaliyah Pitts, Karris Allen and Nevaeh Foster – entered the transfer portal following the season. Allen signed with Southern Illinois and Foster signed with IUPUI. 

Pitts announced last week on her instagram that she has signed with FIU.
