“I’m really excited to have Mia on board for the fall of ’24,” Davis said in a news release. “She has the potential to make a difference in our singles and doubles lineup as her game matures.”

Miranda, a sophomore from Atlanta, spent one season with the Wolf Pack. She posted nine wins in doubles play this past spring during her first season of college tennis, including four wins in conference play. She added a pair of singles wins during the season as well. Miranda was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week on April 10.

She prepped at Georgia Connections Academy and was ranked in the top 40 in the state of Florida and in the top 300 overall when she signed with Nevada. She also has experience playing internationally in ITF tournaments during her career.

Miranda is the fourth player WKU women’s tennis has signed this offseason. The Lady Toppers have also added Marshall transfer Emily Schut, Valparaiso transfer Elizabeth Sobieski and Stephen F. Austin transfer Carolina Chiatti. WKU returns four players in Sofia Blanco, Sunskrithi Damera, Rachel Hermanova and Mariana Zegada.

The Lady Toppers are coming off a 14-11 season in 2024, which tied for fourth-most wins in a single season in program history. WKU is in its winningest three-year stretch in program history, with 47 wins coming during that period.
