Bowling Green’s Amber Miller signed Wednesday to bowl at Kentucky Wesleyan.

“When I started bowling I really didn’t think it was an opportunity,” Miller said. “I didn’t think I could go this far with it, but then I started progressing more in my talent. I found a sport I really loved, and I put my heart into it. It’s an amazing feel (to sign to bowl in college). I’ve never felt this in my life.”

Miller said Kentucky Wesleyan, which is in Owensboro, was the first school to reach out offering the chance to bowl and continue her studies.

“I like the fact they are more student-oriented,” Miller said. “They focus on students more than sports. It’s not too far away, but far enough where I can get away.”

Miller said she is happy to have her college decision behind her so she can enjoy her final weeks of high school.

“To know my college is right in front of my face and I am about to graduate, it’s a relief,” Miller said.
