Greenwood pitcher Kayden Murray’s senior year was as close to perfect as you could get.

Murray struck out all 13 batters she faced in Greenwood’s 17-0, four-inning win over Bowling Green on May 4. She struck out the first 11 batters she faced on 33 pitches, with a pair of immaculate innings and a four-strikeout inning on 12 pitches, and finished the night with 41 pitches, 40 for strikes.

The only runner to reach was a dropped third strike.

“It feels really good, especially with everyone out here to watch me,” Murray said. 

Murray added two hits and three RBIs.

“First time hitting all season,” Murray said. “I’m really glad I got to get in the lineup.”
