LAWRENCEBURG William S. Davis, 58, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Bowling Green, died May 8, 2003, at a Lexington nursing home.
The Elkton native was a graduate of Austin Peay University and the University of Louisville School of Law, an employee of the law department of Ashland Oil, an attorney for the state of Kentucky, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a son of the late H.G. Davis and Louise Wright Davis of Ashland, who survives. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Tuesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with graveside service at 12:45 p.m. CST Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. EST Tuesday at the funeral home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Eliza Petrie Davis of Spain; a son, Robert Nathan Davis of Lexington; a sister, Mary D. Dykes and husband, Paul, of Ashland; and two nephews, Scott Dykes of Louisville and Todd Dykes of Cincinnati.
