Virginia Gray Ford

Bowling Green – Virginia Gray Ford left this world peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 11 at age of 89. She was born on April 9, 1934 to the late Walter and Cora Spivey. Virginia is preceded in death by a brother Roggie Spivey, 3 sisters; Maurine Dallas, Norma Jean Long, and Ruth Basham. Those left to cherish her memory include son Billy Ray Ford (Joyce), daughter Nancy Ford Lawrence, daughter Rita Faye Staten, son Richard Avery Ford, daughter Sandra Kaye Waddle (Robbie), daughter Priscilla Suzanne Surike (Bill), and daughter Jennifer Ford Walden (Duck). Blessed with 10 Grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great Grandchildren. She received The Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 15, and was a member of Three Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Virginia was a Childcare provider in her home for prominent families in the Bowling Green area for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, had a green thumb for geraniums and petunias, and she made holidays special for her family and celebrated to utter perfection. The highlight for the week in Virginia’s life was going to church for Sunday School and Worship service. Visitation at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel will begin Thursday, December 14th, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Friday December 15, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bowling Green Garden. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Southern Kentucky for their dedicated and loving care.
