Robert Edward ‘Ed’ Norman

Robert Edward “Ed” Norman, 56, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully April 5, 2014, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mr. Norman was born Oct. 19, 1957, in Tupelo, Miss., to parents Robert Huey Norman and Mary Louise Harris Norman, who survive. He was pastor of worship at Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green from 1991 to 2003.
More recently, he retired as a teacher from the Bowling Green Independent School System in 2013. He also taught private piano lessons for more than 30 years. He was an active member of Living Hope Baptist Church of Bowling Green.
Other survivors include a sister, Lynn Brooks, and her husband, Mark, of Alvaton; a brother, Mike Norman, and his wife, Elisabeth, of Union; four nieces, Jennifer Brooks Houchin of Bowling Green, Laura Brooks of Louisville, Ashley and Katie Norman, both of Union; a great-niece, Rachel Houchin of Bowling Green; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Living Hope Baptist Church, 1805 Westen Ave., with burial at Plano Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son, Lovers Lane chapel.
