MORGANTOWN — Robert E. Nation, 78, of Morgantown died at 5:35 p.m. Oct. 6, 2007, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Henderson County native was retired from Townsend Tree Service and attended Morgantown Community Church. He was a son of the late Everett Hope and Blissie Mae Rone Hope and the husband of the late Mary Butler Nation.

Funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Chapel, with burial in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is in progress until 8 p.m. today and begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Veronica Chapman and her husband, Gary, of Bowling Green and Vickie Poole and her husband, Raymond, of Owensboro; a son, Bobby Nation and his wife, Rita, of Morgantown; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lola Mae Hope of Owensboro and Myrna Deweese and Patty Cox, both of Louisville; three brothers, Larry, Jerry and Paul Hope, all of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
