John D Whitt

John D Whitt, 59, of Bowling Green, passed away at his home Dec. 25, 2013. He is the son of the late Otis LaTayne McGinnis and John Whitt of Tennessee. He was employed at Building Systems, was a master woodworker, loved designing and building furniture along with restoring fine antiques, loved football, Mark Twain and Lonesome Dove.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Craig Whitt; a daughter, Allyson Kay Whitt; her fiancé, Josh Henderson; and a granddaughter, Saylor Jayne Whitt. He is also survived by Beverly Kay Whitt; a brother-in-law, Terry Craig; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Carroll.

A memorial service for close friends and family will be scheduled at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son, Broadway chapel.
