Denver ‘Dennie’ Moore

Oakland – Denver “Dennie” Moore, 64, of Oakland, passed away at his home on November 18, 2017. He was born in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia on November 17, 1953. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Norma King, and a brother, Robin Moore. Dennie was a brother of the Paintsville Masonic Lodge 381 and was a C130 Flight Engineer in the Air Force from 1972-1978, being a part of the Apollo Soyuz Splashdown mission. He enjoyed farming, loved to cook, fishing, and was a part time jeweler. He was a HAM Radio Operator, accomplished musician and published artist. Dennie valued his animals Robbie, Jazz, and Bella. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Moore, and two children, Amanda Grace Moore and Nathan Moore (Annah). Three Grandchildren; Brayden, Camden, and Parker. Three Sisters; Dora Metheny (Jerry), Lori Moore, and Diane Cooper. A brother; Steve Moore and several nieces and nephews. Mother-in-Law; Bernice “Mickey” Ensrud and Father-in-law; Donald Ensrud. Visitation will be at JC Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a Masonic Service at 10:30 AM and the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
