Charles David Mooney II, 77, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully Dec. 19, 2014, in Nashville after a lengthy illness.
He was the son of the late Dave and Eunice Meeks Mooney. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a much loved radio personality, whose radio career spanned 45-plus years. In that time, he entertained listeners in seven states in both small towns and major markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Nashville.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Lacy Mooney; his daughters, Amanda Mooney, Liz Flanagan and her husband, Pat; his son, David Mooney and wife Kim; and granddaughters, Kathleen and Dervla Flanagan, Hallie and Sophie Mooney.
A private family service will be at a later date, with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery family plot.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.C. Kirby & Son, Broadway Avenue chapel.
