Bruce C. Bryson, 91, of Rockfield, died at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 24, 2011, at an Auburn nursing home.
The Warren County native was born March 10, 1919. He was a farmer all his life and a member of Rockfield Methodist Church. He was a son of the late Roy Bryson and Leora Maxey Bryson and the husband of the late Mary Jane Bryson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Doyle Bryson; a sister, Willodean Bryson; a grandson, Donnie Moore; a great-grandson, Kyle Schafer; and a son-in-law, Tobe Moore.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Therese Moore of Auburn and Linda Coe and her husband, Randall, of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; two sons, Morris E. Bryson and his wife, Reesa, of Auburn, and Maxey H. Bryson and his wife, Darlene, of Rockfield; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Thurston Bryson and his wife, Margaret, of Smiths Grove; three sisters-in-law, Helen Bryson and Oma Cropper, both of Bowling Green, and Christine May of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
