Anna Jane Watt

Anna Jane Watt, 77, of Bowling Green, died Jan. 20, 2015, surrounded by family at Bowling Green Nursing and Rehab Center in Bowling Green.

Anna was a native of Warren County. She was a loving mother and devoted housewife. Anna was a member of Shady Land Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Murphy and Martha J. Murphy. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse G. Watt; a son, William (Billy) Meredith; a grandson, Anthony Dietz; two brothers, William (Billy) and John Murphy; and four stepchildren, Gillie Watt, Joyce Bagby, Marcella Hood and Harold Watt.

Survivors include four sons, Donald (Donnie) Meredith and wife Carol, Robert Settle and wife Doris, Richard (Ricky) Settle and wife Cathy and John Watt and wife Tonya; a daughter, Martha Le Roy and husband Gary; a brother, Mike Murphy and wife Inez; stepchildren Evona Adcox, Janet Towery, Margie Kirby, Shelia Barlow and Ronnie Watt; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Boiling Springs Cemetery.
