Andrew “A.J.” Hussey Jr., 59, of Bowling Green, entered into rest at 8:29 p.m. June 6, 2016, at The Medical Center.
A.J. was born July 5, 1956, in Owensboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew “A.J.” Hussey Sr. and Jane Elizabeth McCullough Hussey, and a sister, Rebecca Jane Hussey.
A.J. was a salesman for Ashley HomeStore and member of Living Hope Baptist Church. He loved playing church softball and especially loved his two grandchildren. He was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and Western Kentucky University.
Survivors include his wife, Melinda Farris Hussey; a daughter, Sarah Hussey of Bowling Green; two sons, Dr. Joseph Jackson (Katie) of Atlanta and Justin Hussey of Bowling Green; daughter-in-law Amy Hussey of Bowling Green; two brothers, David Hussey (Shelia) of Bardstown and Stuart J. “Jimmy” Hussey (Kathy) of Bowling Green; and two special grandchildren, Anna Leigh Shell and Crue Davis Jackson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
