- Rick Seadler, Pinnacle Financial Partners regional president for southcentral Kentucky, speaks during last year’s ribbon cutting for Pinnacle’s new retail bank location in Stadium Park Plaza.
Less than a year after opening its first bank location in Bowling Green, Nashville-based Pinnacle Financial Partners is moving ahead with plans to establish its local headquarters in the fast-growing Lovers Lane corridor.
Pinnacle was approved Jan. 17 by the Warren County Design Review Board for an overlay development plan that clears the way for the financial institution to build a two-story, 12,780-square-foot headquarters across Lovers Lane from The Hub residential and commercial development.
Located on a 1.62-acre tract in the Greenhills residential and commercial development, the proposed headquarters on Hazen Court will be “our flagship,” according to Pinnacle Regional President Rick Seadler.
“It will be a wonderful addition to that new commercial corridor, up to the level of sophistication and quality that’s expected,” Seadler said. “It demonstrates our commitment to the market.”
The headquarters building will be Pinnacle’s second location in Bowling Green, joining the 5,000-square-foot bank that opened last June on the third floor of Stadium Park Plaza.
“That was our flag in the ground in the Bowling Green market,” Seadler said of the downtown branch. “I feel strongly about keeping it open.”
Seadler, in fact, said Pinnacle’s original Bowling Green location is now up to 15 employees. The Lovers Lane headquarters will have the capacity to employ “30 to 40 people over time,” Seadler said.
“We’ve been embraced very well here,” Seadler said. “We only see an upward trajectory.”
At the grand opening for Pinnacle’s downtown bank last year, Seadler said the company’s long-range plans call for three Bowling Green locations.
Such growth parallels that of Pinnacle, which was established in February of 2000.
The bank has grown rapidly through acquisition and expansion. Since 2020, it has entered the Atlanta, Birmingham, Huntsville and Washington, D.C., markets. Pinnacle has grown to approximately $46.9 billion in assets and is the second-largest bank holding company with headquarters in Tennessee.
Its entry into Bowling Green means that Pinnacle is now operating in seven states.
