Monroe County woman arrested, charged by KSP with child exploitation offenses

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch announced Friday that it had arrested Abbigail Vibbert, 26, on charges related to child sexual abuse and child sexual abuse material.
According to KSP, Vibbert was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Per a release, the Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after it discovered the subject sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
Per KSP, the investigation resulted in an interview in Tompkinsville on July 6. Equipment use to facilitate the crime has been seized and taken to its forensic laboratory for examination.
Vibbert was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and is currently charged with one count of promoting a minor under 16 years old in a sex performance, a Class-B felony punishable by 10-20 years in prison.
Vibbert is also charged with four counts of sexual abuse 1st degree, victim under 12 years old and one count of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old, Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing.
