A man who was found shot in Allen County has died from his injuries.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded Monday evening to Old Gainesville Road following a report of a shooting outside a residence there. Law enforcement found a gunshot victim identified as Matthew Mills, 23, who was transported to The Medical Center in Scottsville.

Mills later died from his injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force.
