Hot Rods make staffing moves, including manager of fun

The Bowling Green Hot Rods announced that Mikayla Algeo has been named the new manager of fun, a position that is returning to the Hot Rods front office for the first time since 2020.

Algeo graduated with a degree in marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has served as the digital marketing and community relations assistant in 2023 for the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.

Other moves around the Bowling Green Ballpark this winter include several promotions.

Kim Myers, who handled bookkeeping, payroll and human resources for the Hot Rods since 2019, has been promoted to controller.

Jeff Ciocco received the call-up to the director of stadium operations during the 2023 season. Ciocco worked his way up since his internship season in 2021, becoming a seasonal stadiums operation assistant before taking over as stadium operations manager in 2022.

Nick Mariani was also announced as stadium operations manager. He began as an intern with the Hot Rods in 2022, was brought back in 2023 as a seasonal assistant to the stadium operations department and prepares for his third season in 2024.
