Carter joins United Way staff

Ashley Carter has been hired as director of community impact for United Way of Southern Kentucky.

Carter, a native of Elizabethtown, has been in the Bowling Green community since 2011. Before joining United Way, Carter spent six years as a marketing manager with Russell Athletic at Fruit of the Loom. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis. Carter is a member of the Bowling Green Junior Woman’s Club.

In her role as director of community impact, Carter will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to achieve the community change goals set forth in United Way’s Education, Income, Health and Safety Net areas while developing effective partnerships to support those goals. Carter will oversee the fund distribution process and is responsible for research and data analysis to substantiate goal achievement.
