Bluegrass Ingredients Inc., a specialty food ingredients supplier that is moving its headquarters from Glasgow to Bowling Green, has achieved food safety and quality code certification from the Safe Quality Food Institute.

The certification follows three consecutive years of earning “excellent” ratings through the SQF audit at Bluegrass Ingredients’ Springfield and Glasgow facilities.

To achieve SQF certification, producers must develop and implement stringent food safety and quality systems that can be applied to every step of the supply chain, from production and handling to processing and distribution.
