- The Hungry Ears: T.H.E. (2008)
T.H.E. or The Hungry Ears is the debut album of The Hungry Ears. According to Chris “The music and songs are feelings that have surfaced over the years, Me (chris) and J.D. have been in metal bands most of our lives and this music has always been there, we were just never able to put it with those bands. I consider this music more of a rock feel but anyone can get in to it from young to old, It’s music you can get out and shake your booty too. It’s kinda rockabilly, jam, a lil jazz plus something I can’t explain.”
Their myspace page further states “Combined together, the record is overflowing with soul piercing ditties. With standout tracks like “Betty,” and “Apocalypse Radio” look for T.H.E. to be a major factor in the rock landscape for years to come.”
All tracks were recorded at Run a Muck productions and engineered by Mike Ethertan. The album is produced by The Hungry Ears and Mike Ethertan. The art work was created by J.D. Minor and Katie Wiley with layout and design by Chris Minor.
The seven tracks are available for $5 at CDBaby.com/ cd/hungryears.
The band members include J.D. Minor, Chris Minor, Mike McMillian and Melissa Mikolajczyk, though Melissa joined after the release was recorded.
The first three were formerly known as the Serotonin Band. Catch the group Feb. 29th at Lil Redz or roadtrip the next night to Louisville’s Third Street Dive.
