Western Kentucky women’s basketball has announced the signing of Elif Naz Dal, a 6-foot-3 post player from Adana, Turkey.

Naz Dal will be an incoming freshman in 2025-26.

Naz Dal most recently played with a basketball league in Turkey where she led her team to the finals, advancing to an upper league. She averaged 6.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks with the team.

Naz Dal will be the first to suit up for the Lady Toppers from Turkey. She’ll be the 15th international player to play for WKU all-time and will join Zsofia Telegdy, Salma Khedr and Yendri Acosta as international players on the 2025-26 roster.

She is the second player to be added to the roster since the season ended, joining guard Trinity Rowe who transferred from Southern Miss last week.

Western Kentucky finished 23-9 last season, losing three players – including four-year starting point guard Alexis Mead and graduate guard Destiny Salary – to graduation. Guards Josie Gilvin and Mackenzie Chatfield also are gone after leaving through the transfer portal.

Rising senior guard Acacia Hayes is still in the transfer portal.
