Fentress powers Spartans to 9-3 win over Glasgow

South Warren sophomore Joseph Fentress went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs to lead the visiting Spartans to a 9-3 baseball win against Glasgow on Monday.
Jaxen Decker was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, John Mosley went 2-for-3 and Justin Capps was 2-for-4 in the win. Griffin Rardin added a double and an RBI, and Camden Page tallied a double and scored three runs.
Page started on the mound and got the win, pitching three innings while allowing one run. He struck out two batters.
South Warren (12-2) was set to host Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday.
Josiah Driver was 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, and Garett Shields, Evan Templin and Steven Garrett each tallied an RBI for Glasgow (5-9). The Scotties were slated to host Bowling Green on Tuesday.
Greenwood 13, Logan County 1
Andrew Jolly went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs to boost visiting Greenwood to a 13-1 win in five innings against Logan County on Monday.
John Kincaid was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, Jackson Lee tallied a double and an RBI, Easton Talley drove in two runs, and Rylan Graves, Canon Jaggers, Zach Davis, Jake Flickinger and Henry Justice each notched an RBI for the Gators.
Nathan Howard pitched all five innings for the win, allowing one run off two hits and no walks while striking out nine. Greenwood (12-2) was set to host Allen County-Scottsville on Tuesday.
Lyndon Wilson got the lone RBI for Logan County (8-5), which was scheduled to host Christian County on Tuesday.
Franklin-Simpson 7, ACS 3
Liam Heinze and Griff Banton each went 2-for-3 with an RBI to spark visiting Franklin-Simpson to a 7-3 win against Allen County-Scottsville on Monday.
Boy Blanckenberg was 2-for-4 with a double, and Hendrik Blanckenberg, Brady Delk and Carson Kelley each drove in a run for the Wildcats.
Jordan Brandon started and pitched five innings for the win, allowing three runs (two earned) while striking out two. Max Wren pitched to scoreless innings to earn the save. He struck out two.
Franklin-Simpson (9-6) was slated to visit South Warren on Tuesday.
ACS (3-9) was set to visit Greenwood on Tuesday.
Softball
Warren East 16, Russellville 1
Warren East collected 12 extra-base hits as part of a 20-hit attack to beat host Russellville 16-1 in five innings on Monday.
Kenzie Upton led the Lady Raiders with a 2-for-4 day with two home runs and five RBIs. Kennedy Lawson went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs, Addison Lee was 3-for-4 with a home run, a pair of doubles and two RBIs, Autumn Brooks was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI, Tristen Lindsey was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Kynleigh Barrick was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Lydia Jones went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Kaylee Jones tallied a triple and an RBI.
Lindsey pitched all five innings for the complete-game win, allowing just one run while striking out one. Warren East (11-3) was set to visit District 15 rival Barren County on Tuesday.
Russellville (6-9) was slated to host District 13 foe Todd County Central on Tuesday.
ACS 12, Russell County 1
Homestanding Allen County-Scottsville connected for three home runs en route to beating Russell County 12-1 in five innings on Monday.
Maddie Gray was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBIs for the Lady Patriots. Payton Hopkins went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, and Aubrey Willams also homered and drove in three runs. Jacie Rice was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Addison Ausbrooks went 2-for-2 in the win.
Ausbrooks pitched all five innings for the win, allowing one run while striking out three.
ACS (13-2) was set to visit Bowling Green on Tuesday.
East Robertson 13, Franklin-Simpson 6
Host Franklin-Simpson dropped a 13-6 decision to East Robertson (Tennessee) on Monday.
Ava Holland was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs for the Lady Wildcats in the loss. Kaitlyn Woodall and Addison Shelton added two hits apiece.
Franklin-Simpson (5-7) was scheduled to host District 13 rival Logan County on Tuesday.
