Western Kentucky announced the launch of the Travis Hudson Legacy Fundraising Campaign on Wednesday.
The campaign, which aims to raise $300,000 to support the WKU volleyball program, will celebrate the last 30 years of success under Travis Hudson, while paving the way for the next 30 years of volleyball success at Western Kentucky.
Hudson is entering his 31st season as head volleyball coach in 2025. He has won 780 matches, surpassing Ed Diddle for the second-most among any Hilltopper coach in a single sport (Diddle owns 1,030 total head coaching victories among the four sports he coached at WKU). In his 30 seasons, Hudson has led WKU to 34 conference championships and 17 NCAA Tournament appearances.
He is the 12-time conference coach of the year, has coached 12 conference players of the year, 13 All-Americans (including four, four-time All-Americans) and 68 first team all-conference honorees.
The six-month fundraising campaign will culminate with the unveiling of Travis Hudson’s statue, which was announced last November on the night he was inducted into the WKU Athletics Hall of Fame.
