BOWLING GREEN – Emma Jean (Parks) White passed away April 8, 2025 at Hopkins Nursing Home in Woodburn, Kentucky where she was lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff over the past two years. She was born September 30, 1930 in Pelham, Tennessee to Edgar Harold Parks and Nannie Elizabeth Reider Parks.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ralph Edwin White; baby daughter, Donna Lynn White; her parents; brothers, David Parks; Jonas Parks; Glenn Parks and Charles Parks. Sisters, Edna Parks and Zora Bean. She worked side-by-side with her husband, Ralph at The National Store in Cowan, Tennessee and later in Bowling Green, KY.

She worked for many years at Bowling Green Bank & Trust as a Teller. Her life was devoted to her family especially her Grandchildren and Great-Children and was known to all of them as “Granny Jean.”

She was a longtime member of West Side United Methodist Church and later Faith Methodist Church.

She is survived by her Daughter, Deborah Williams (Rick) of Bowling Green, KY; Granddaughters, Casey Rouse (Matt) and Kristen Gregory (Taylor). Great Grandchildren, Hunter Rouse; Easton Rouse; Jackson Gregory and Beau Gregory all of Scottsville, KY; Her Brother, Frank Parks (Shirley) of Chardon, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

J.C. Kirby Broadway Chapel has been authorized to oversee the arrangements. Tennessee arrangements are being handled by Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, TN. No local visitation is planned.

A graveside service will take place in the coming days at Warren Cemetery in Pelham, Tennessee. Expressions of Sympathy can be made on her behalf to the ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd. Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209 in her husband, Ralph E. White’s memory.
