Ralph D. Dragoo

BOWLING GREEN – Ralph D. Dragoo, 93, formerly of Goshen, Indiana, passed away peacefully Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Chandler Park Assisted Living facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he resided.

He was born November 21, 1931, in Mooreland, Indiana, to Jearl and Evelyn (Harris) Dragoo. On November 22, 1951, he married Mary E. Price. Mr. Dragoo built their first home in Albany, Indiana, the following year. They moved their family to Goshen in 1961, and retired to Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2001. Mrs. Dragoo proceeded him in death October 15, 2018.

Surviving are his son, Michael (Deborah) Dragoo, Elkhart, Indiana, his daughter, Nancy Dragoo, Suwanee, Georgia, and two grandchildren, Rose Dragaud-Sanchez, Questa, New Mexico, and Molly Dragaud, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A Korean War Army veteran, discharged with the rank of supply corporal NCO, Mr. Dragoo professionally worked as a structural engineer, designing corporate furniture and mass-market retailer displays and shelving. He was locally employed by Barler Manufacturing in Goshen, Indiana, and eventually retired from Syndicate Glass, Middlebury, Indiana.

A lifelong Methodist, Mr. Dragoo enjoyed woodworking, building radio-controlled model aircraft, rock collecting, camping, and stopping to read every historical marker he encountered.
