LCA wins KCAA super regional championship

The Legacy Christian Academy boys’ basketball team, led by head coach Shaun Cummings, soared to victory in the 2025 KCAA Boys Super Regional Championship this past weekend in Leitchfield.
The Eagles secured the title with a 50-47 win over Bethel Christian in the championship game.
The road to the title began with a hard-fought 51-46 semifinal victory over Oak Ridge Christian Academy.
In the championship game, the Eagles were powered by an outstanding performance from senior Cole Phillips, who led the team with 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists, earning tournament MVP honors.
LCA senior Trace Stivers added 12 points, five rebounds and two blocks, and freshman Mason Phillips contributed 15 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Both were named to the All-Tournament Team.
With this victory, the Eagles advance to the KCAA State Tournament, where they will face Lexington Latin next Friday in Lexington.
