For the tournament, WKU finished with a 20-over 884. The Lady Tops came out on top over a field that included No. 26 Florida, No. 69 Boston College, No. 83 Mercer (hosts), No. 91 East Carolina, NJCAA Division I No. 1 Daytona State, as well as Delaware, East Tennessee State, Florida Atlantic, UNC-Greensboro, South Dakota State, Tulane, UAB, Western Carolina and Wofford.

For WKU coach Adam Gary, who is in his 11th season, it was the program’s 12th victory, extending his school record for wins by a women’s golf head coach.

“I’m so excited for our program after picking up a huge win at this weekend’s Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational,” Gary said in a news release. “This was a deep field that included No. 26 Florida, No. 69 Boston College, No. 83 Mercer who was hosting, and many other strong programs on a very difficult course, nonetheless.

“For our program to come out on top speaks to all of the hard work and dedication the women have been putting in. It’s also incredible to have three players in the top four in this 85-player field which included some of the best collegiate players in the nation. I am incredibly proud of our entire team and thrilled to begin the spring season on such a high note.”

WKU’s 1-under 287 on Sunday was the only team round for the entire tournament under par (45 total team rounds).

After Friday’s first round, Dwyer was tied for 42nd following a 7-over 79. She played the final 36 holes at 3-under to move 38 spots up the leaderboard.

Craig finished second, her third time in five tournaments finishing in the top two this season. It was Craig’s 15th top-5 finish in 35 career starts.

Hackett’s third-place finish was her best of the season, besting a fourth-place finish at Purdue to open the fall. It was her fifth career top-5 finish.
