A two-vehicle collision Monday in Hart County left one person dead and five people with injuries.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers were called shortly after 12 p.m. Monday to the intersection of Ky. 88 and Birchwood Lane, where preliminary investigation indicated that a Chevrolet Trail Blazer driven by Philip Hodson, 70, of Canmer, was traveling east on Ky. 88 when it crossed the center line and collided with a Ford van driven by Edin Favier.

Hodson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Favier and two passengers were transported to T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow for treatment of injuries, while two other passengers were flown to University of Louisville Hospital, KSP said.
