Earl Dean Denney

Bowling Green – Earl Dean Denney, age 86, passed into his heavenly home on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Christian Health Care (CHC), in Bowling Green, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Douglas and Janie Denney, his son Michael Dean Denney, brothers Kermit, Hobart, Eugene, Jimmy, and sister Alene Branham. Earl was born in Wayne County, KY, but grew up in Barren County.

He was a 1957 graduate of Glasgow High School. He was a linotype operator at Kelley Printing and Office Supply for 40 years. Earl served his country for 2 years in the US Army, 34th Armor Division at Fort Knox, KY where he trained fellow soldiers during the Vietnam Conflict. Earl became a Christian in 1963, at Calvary Baptist Church in Central City, KY. He was later ordained a Deacon at Glendale Baptist Church in Bowling Green, KY. He is a member of Hillvue Heights Church, where he has also served as a Deacon.

Earl loved people, and especially enjoyed making them laugh. His hobbies included reading, gardening, and working Sudoku puzzles. He enjoyed sports, especially watching his sons and grandson play baseball and soccer. He was a former member of the Aeolian Lodge in Bowling Green. Earl is survived by his wife of 61 years Patricia Amos Denney, his son Steven Craig Denney, grandson Kaleb Matthew Denney all of Bowling Green, KY. He is also survived by his brother Earnest of Glasgow, KY and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday January 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at JC Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will follow on Saturday February 1, 2025 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Hillvue Heights Church. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM. The Burial will be following the funeral on Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, KY In lieu of flowers you may make donations to the Hillvue Heights Food Pantry.
