It was a record-setting night for Bowling Green’s Katy Smiley in Friday’s win against Warren Central.

The senior wing broke a school record with 10 made 3-pointers, helping the Lady Purples remain perfect in District 14 play.

Smiley, who has 39 made 3s while shooting 44.8% from long distance this season, said she had been through a rough stretch so it was nice to have the big night.

“I’ve been off the last couple of games, so I have been in the gym getting good shots up to be prepared for times like (tonight),” Smiley said. “I came out and was hitting them.”

Bowling Green returns to action at 6 p.m. on Friday, hosting Greenwood.
