BOWLING GREEN – Yvonne Herman Graves, age 89, passed away on May 23rd, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the epitome of love and selflessness, embodying grace and compassion in all she did. Known for her kind heart, warm smile, bright blue eyes, and unwavering love, she will be greatly missed.
Born in Bowling Green, Ky, to Marie and Rufus Lowery, she had a long career at Holly Carburetors. She had a passion for her family, sewing, cooking and watching her daily Soap Operas. She shared a deep bond with her late husband of 45 years, Shirley Graves, together they created a life filled with love, road trips and lasting memories.
Yvonne Graves is survived by her two sons, Steve Grimes and Terry Grimes (Melissa), two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Lovingly known as “Mamaw”, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and unconditional love that will forever live on in hearts that knew her.
A graveside service to celebrate her life and honor her memory will be held at Bowling Green Gardens, Friday, May 31st at 10am. Memorial services have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
