Masters comes to WKU after one year at Virginia Tech.

“We are so thrilled to add Maci to our team,” Tudor said in a news release. “She is a power hitter who will be exciting to coach and for fans to watch. With the combination of her great game instincts and arm, she will provide a great presence for us in the infield and fit into our system well both offensively and defensively!”

A four-year letterwinner out of Daniel Boone High School, Masters earned First Team All-State, Conference Player of the Year and Sweet 16 Player of the Year as a senior in 2023. Her 64 career home runs set the Tennessee state record, while she set the single-season home run record in the state of Tennessee with 25 in 2022.

As a senior, Masters posted a .442 batting average with 18 home runs and 64 RBIs, registering a 1.422 OPS, .509 on-base percentage and .913 slugging percentage.

She was named all-state in 2022 after compiling a .433 batting average, .533 on-base percentage and 74 RBIs, to go along with her record-breaking 25 home runs. During the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Masters earned a spot on the all-conference, all-region and all-tournament teams, as well as being named player of the year in 2021 and 2022.

As a member of Mojo Lunsford, Masters ranked No. 30 in the 2023 class by Extra Innings. She helped her team win the Alliance Fastpitch National Championship in 2022. During the summer of 2022, she had 12 home runs with a .359 batting average, .465 on-base percentage, 1.148 OPS, adding 46 RBIs and 44 runs. She recorded a .420 batting average during the summer of 2023 with six home runs and 30 RBIs, adding a 1.244 OPS, .479 on base percentage and .765 slugging.

A native of Johnson City, Tennessee, Masters is the daughter of Brooke and Steve Masters. She has one brother, Matthew.
